My Project

Coursera.org offers coursework and certification programs from companies and universities around the world, and it provides the ultimate professional development tool.

An investment in something like a year-long access to Coursera is truly an investment in my future.

My role as an Instructional Technology Facilitator increasingly has me learning about IT topics and applying that knowledge at my school. Through Coursera Plus, I will be able to access coursework for a variety of Google, IBM, and Microsoft IT certificate programs, including certificates focused on skills like cybersecurity, educational technology, UX design, and Python. Learning Python, for instance, would help me immensely in coding websites and apps for school use. My evaluation plan also requires work with Universal Design, and there is a UX Design certification available as well. Additional project management certifications would also help me better tackle large-scale programs and projects in my school and in the district. And that is just what three companies have to offer; there are also courses from over 3,000 other companies and universities.

In short, access to a year of Coursera programs and courses would be extremely beneficial to me and help me to grow immensely as a professional.
