My Project

I have been a special education teacher for 10 years and a special education paraprofessional before that. I have students that are emerging in communication and all of them have a high tech communication device. This project is to support me to have a device so I can be modeling and teaching on AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication).

All forms of communication matters.

Next year I will be in teaching in 4 different special education classrooms . Not only do I want to model communication on a device - but I want to model bringing it to all settings as well as representing another way to communicate. This iPad will also allow me to help edit student devices so that I can make their device more meaningful with personal words,, favorite activities and people in their life.
