Help me give my students of differing abilities ACCESS to a better and richer education through communication materials, games and other resources for the classroom.
This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Project
Help our special education students access their education with the help of our Speech and Occupational Therapists. We will use communication boards and the speciality game set for motivating our students to complete difficult tasks and teach other important academic and life skills.
We serve our students by embracing their differences and supporting their needs.
We're seeking support to purchase materials to assist our students to access both the general and special education environments. Items such as PECS tools, dry erase boards, board games ( to maintain interest in difficult therapy tasks), visual schedules and visual symbols provide our students the opportunity to be fully engaged and progress toward their individualized goals.
Our students are amazing, hard working and special to us. They look forward to learning and put smiles on our faces daily! They have some basic supplies but access to a variety of resources will enhance their learning immensely.
