In our recent of year reflection, many students said that was their favorite project/unit of the entire year, and that is due to your generosity. \r\n\r\nBecause of the materials we were able to purchase using your donations, students created creative, thoughtful, and detailed dioramas and posters detailing brand new worlds. They thought critically about problems they see in their own societies, and developed solutions without constraints. Students questioned the reasoning behind laws and structures in the real world that lean dystopic or unjust, and they worked collaboratively to make things right. \r\n\r\nWe are so grateful to have had the opportunity to let students CREATE. The end products were beautiful, artistic, and unique. In the midst of end of year testing and constant pressures to use technology and rely on computers and AI, our students had the opportunity to create a hands-on diorama with their own independent ideas. They have helped me incentivize students to follow instructions and share stories that the entire class wants to hear. When we play games they are a great way to reward students easily and without mess. It also helps keep them focused.\r\n\r\nThe gummy snacks are the weekly treat for our Community Voice Council. Students who have been getting a lot of behavior referrals come in to talk to peers who are models of excellence and responsibility.
