Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Students have been learning about gardening, planting, composting and overall environmental conservation. They have been eager to plant an abundance of plants, flowers and vegetables in our indoor hydroponic tower. Students have been meeting with several organizations to aid with their mission of making our community cleaner and better.

Students have been working on improving our school community.

Gardening is a part of a service learning project that will provide students with the opportunity of graduating with a NYC Civic Seal. Multiple teachers and staff members are dedicated to providing students with this opportunity and maintaining the responsibility of keeping up with the garden for years to come. The additional supplies will help our students reach their goal!
