My Students

I'm looking forward to meeting my new group of kindergarten students in the next couple weeks. I will be making a visit to each of their homes to introduce myself and to welcome them to kindergarten! I can't wait to meet them all! I love teaching kindergarten because it so fun to see the growth they make from day one. It is fun watching them go from being nervous to start school to loving it and wanting to come back for more. While I haven't met this year's class, I know they will be an eager and fun-loving bunch!

My Project

This rug will be used for a majority of learning in our classroom this year. Kindergartners spend a lot of time doing their learning as a whole group while sitting on the floor, giving them the opportunity to collaborate with their peers and the option to move around. Having a classroom rug that not only is visually appealing but is also comfortable for the students is very important.

Donating to this project will give the students a comfortable and welcoming space to engage in their learning throughout the school year.

Handwriting is a very important part of a kindergartners school year. Having a rug with proper handwriting on it for the students to see each day will help to reinforce those skills.
