This rug will be used for a majority of learning in our classroom this year. Kindergartners spend a lot of time doing their learning as a whole group while sitting on the floor, giving them the opportunity to collaborate with their peers and the option to move around. Having a classroom rug that not only is visually appealing but is also comfortable for the students is very important. Donating to this project will give the students a comfortable and welcoming space to engage in their learning throughout the school year. Handwriting is a very important part of a kindergartners school year. Having a rug with proper handwriting on it for the students to see each day will help to reinforce those skills.

About my class
