My Students

I am a kindergarten teacher and I teach two half-day classes. Kindergartens are full of excitement, energy, and for some, this is their first experience in a school setting. I am all ways looking for new ways to engage my students with fun, hands-on activities that will reach all learners. I want to make this the best first year of kindergarten and school for these kids.

My Project

Letters alive is the perfect tool for engaging my 5 to 6 year old students! Pairing the letters to an animal name is a great strategy, and when you couple that with the 3D animals and sounds, you get an experience students crave! This program is proven to help students master these vital skills.

Following this six week program, in an independent research study done by the University of Georgia, showed a 48% increase in letter naming fluency.

This was a 2x gain over non-users. They also saw a 112% increase in letter sound fluency. This was a 4x gain over non-users.

Due to Covid-19 and many preschools being closed, many of my students will have missed out on that vital year before kindergarten where they learn their letters and sounds. I want to give them an opportunity to build those skills in a fun, engaging way, that will bring them up to a kindergarten level.
