My Project

Help me get many of the materials that are needed to create an A-Z object library for my students! I would like to begin an object library using stackable bins labeled A through Z. Objects beginning with that letter will be placed in the appropriate bin. In my classroom for students with disabilities, we use objects all the time. Objects are often more relatable and are concrete examples for my students. For example, when we learn about American symbols, I will allow my students to touch and feel a bell, an eagle, a flag, etc.

An A-Z library will allow for easy access and browsing of many objects.

We use objects for all subject areas, especially shared reading. Who doesn't like to pair a read-aloud with objects for the students to relate to?! I have requested the most common objects that we will use based on the curriculum I teach now. The goal is for me and my students to continue to collect objects and fill these bins so that we always have something to pull from to go with what we're learning!
