Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students recently had an epiphany - while having a class discussion about one of the stories we were reading, a student happily shared that it was like we had traveled to the African grasslands. The other students latched on to that idea and began talking about how we had traveled to England when we were reading The Witches and they shared other places they had “traveled” to in their personal books. I want to capture this excitement and encourage them to continue to “travel” through their reading!

With new books that will bolster our classroom library, students will have quick and easy access to an array of different books to help them to find the wonders in and out of this world.
