This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

What I like most about my students is their diversity. What makes them special is their excitement to learn about their countries and cultures. We do this every day in the library. We read cultural fables and folktales. We study and appreciate different cultures' art, music, and heritage and we compare them to our classmates with respect. This is the basis of inclusion and cultural relevance and peace.

Since we are teaching our students to be valued members of our "global" community, it seems important for the students to find their place on a real classroom globe.

My students love my old globe, and we need new globes for our library.
