My Students

Imagine a classroom where students are excited, engaged and motivated to learn through interactive technology. A program that embraces a students' learning styles and learning preferences.

I teach two classes of 22 energetic first graders in a classroom where I provide many opportunities for students to get up, move, and have hands-on activities.

In my classroom, students have many opportunities to be in charge of their own learning and exposure to many different cultures!

I work at a large elementary school, with a wonderful staff. They are committed to engaging and inspiring students through creative learning experiences. As well as build a safe and collaborative environment for exploration where students are willing to take risks in learning.

My Project

By providing my 1st graders with the Narrative Journey Set I will be able to use the word a day vocabulary cards and connecting books to provide them with daily lessons that will enhance their vocabulary.

Vocabulary is extremely important and is needed when sharing ideas and opinions.

A high vocabulary can help my students understand what other people are saying and what they are reading. Having a high vocabulary can also build a solid foundation for deeper comprehension.

By donating to our project, you will not only help provide quality materials that are researched based, you will ultimately help to increase my students reading and writing skills.
