Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The children at Vaughn come from all over the world, literally! That diversity is what makes us special. To celebrate that and help my pre-k students learn to speak English with confidence, making the most of the Dramatic Play Center is the most effective play to begin!

The grocery store food items and shopping carts are something familiar to all of my kiddos.

It’s perfect to wear your cultural garb to the market as it creates what our neighborhood shop really looks like. It’s beautiful! The doctors office setup is also important since pretending and talking about our shared experiences can help us overcome our fears.

I just want to give my students the skills to keep working confidently and not being afraid to express themselves as they grow!
