A Toniebox for Inclusive and Joyful Learning!

Help me give my students bring a Toniebox audio learning set to my classroom! With Tonies, my 1st graders can build literacy, social skills, and cultural awareness through music, stories, and hands-on exploration.

My Project

I teach a bright and curious group of 1st graders who love learning in creative, hands-on ways. My classroom is full of diverse learners, including students with disabilities, English language learners, and students from many cultural backgrounds. They thrive when lessons are interactive, engaging, and designed to meet different learning needs.

This project will bring a Toniebox audio learning set and Tonie characters into our classroom.

Tonies are screen-free, interactive audio figurines that play stories, music, and educational content when placed on the Toniebox. They encourage independence, imagination, and exploration while supporting many different learning styles.

With the Toniebox, my students will:

Strengthen literacy and language skills by listening to rich stories and retelling them.

Explore social studies and racial justice themes with stories that represent diverse voices and cultures.

Develop life skills such as listening, turn-taking, and focus.

Enjoy music and the arts with Tonies that bring songs, rhythm, and creativity to life.

Experience STEM connections through science- and problem-solving-themed Tonies.

Benefit from inclusive learning—students with disabilities can engage through audio, movement, and play.

Why This Project Matters

The Toniebox is more than just a listening tool—it creates moments of joy, belonging, and representation. Students who may struggle with traditional reading can still access stories and music independently. Culturally diverse Tonies will allow students to hear stories that reflect their own lives and introduce them to voices different from their own. This project will help my classroom become a place where every student feels seen, included, and inspired to learn.

The Impact
