Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Currently, our sixth graders mainly rely on checking out their favorite books from our school library because the books in our classroom library are either falling apart or I don't have the titles they are wanting. This limits the possibility of them finding a book that targets their specific interests, not to mention that there will be a time limit they have to abide by. What better way to solve this problem than to have the titles they so desire in their own classroom!

Reading opens up so many avenues in our children's lives, from expanding their vocabulary to making them better writers, speakers and listeners.

Revamping our classroom library will make it so our students will be motivated to read if they have some of their favorite series readily available. They love series such as Diary of a Wimpy Kid, Harry Potter, Dork Diaries, and many more.
