My third graders are all unique and special individuals. Each one of them brings something special to our classroom community. Together these 20 students are exceedingly enthusiastic and full of potential!
Whether they are discovering new information, getting lost in a good book, solving math problems, or researching a given topic, they do it with joy and excitement.
As a teacher, I love to see their enthusiasm for learning as they share their discoveries with me and their peers. My goal, as their teacher, is to continue to nurture this enthusiasm.
A carpet can give the classroom a welcoming feeling and help create a happier and more appealing classroom. This carpet offers a comfortable cushioning place for students to sit, read, investigate, and learn.
When gathering my students for our morning meeting, a whole group lesson, or small group activities, a carpet in the destination spot can serve as a great anchor.
Students won’t question where to sit because the rug becomes the destination and the edges of the rug serve as a defined space for them to sit. We can sit together as a class and enjoy sharing with each other.
