This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I am a second year teacher! I must say, my kiddos are amazing.

Our school has smart and mindful kids that work best in an engaging environment.

My students work on collaboration, social skills, math, reading, writing, and so much more! They enjoy working in groups at tables or flexible seating on the carpet or reading corner, as pictured. These kids greet me every morning with a hug and a smile, telling me how their morning has gone and how they are happy to be at school... I love my job because of who I share it with.

My Project

I have a student in my class with a hearing aid. Even on good days, she does not understand everything I say to her. I would like to have a speaker system, that I could use for years to come, for students that sit at the tables of my classroom, just like this child. This is a very important project, because accessibility of learning, for all students, is the key to giving equal access in education.

I need help supporting this project because it is hard to be engaged in activities if you do not clearly hear the directions.

Another piece of the project is creating an engaging learning environment that will keep students' attention for years and years to come.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
