My students come to school ready and eager to soak up every bit of learning that I can give them! They set goals, support each other in their work, and celebrate their achievements throughout the year. My classroom is not centered around one specific type of individual. It is a BRIGHT and WELCOMING room full of kids who come from a variety of socioeconomic backgrounds, ethnicities, and countries from all over the world.
My students are mindful of showing strong core values every single day through positive interactions with their teachers and peers.
We use whole-group discussions and partner interactions during morning class meetings to learn what it means to be kind, empathetic, supportive, and an all-around good friend.
My Project
My students love to come together as a group on the carpet during morning meetings, whole-group interactive lessons, partner discussions, GoNoodle, and movement exercises. I love to watch their eyes light up with excitement during the "Ah-ha!" moments when something just "clicks". Currently, the rug we have in our classroom is not large enough to comfortably fit all of my students. We would love to have a larger space that encourages more interactive learning and pure JOY!
A more interactive and comfortable space would really allow my kids to THRIVE, both academically and socially.
This space would allow us to grow our interpersonal skills, our Whole Body Listening skills, our Growth Mindset, our speaking skills, and so much more. Ultimately, this space would allow our very BEST learning to take place!
