My Students

My students are highly motivated to learn. Many are reading at or above grade level and need to be actively learning. My job is to not only prepare them for the next grade, but to prepare them for their future. My students are very familiar with Office 365, OneDrive and OneNote and love the idea of being able to start projects at school, and work on them at home.

Although most of my students are at or above grade level, three are ELL and need help understanding English, two of them are Language Impaired and need to learn using different modalities, and two are being evaluated for Learning Disabilities.

My Project

The Chromebooks will make it easier for students to create projects and presentations online. I will be able to plan more research projects and presentations that will actively involve my students with learning. Currently, my students have access to two outdated computers that don't always work. Adding 3 to the room will help tremendously with group activities and individual work.

Students will be able to use the "cloud" to create and store their work; a skill they will need in middle school, high school, college and work.

Using the cloud will allow students to work at school and at home.
