This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Students are always having a hard time finding a sense of place when it comes to carpet time. Whether it be personal space, making wrong decisions as to where to sit, or just feeling out of place, it's hard to sit down comfortably on the ground with your entire class.

With this special rug, it will be easier for carpet time.

My students want a place to call their own, so designating individual spots for each of them will help us be better learners. If behaviors occur, it will be easier to address them by easily moving students to different parts of the carpet, without making them feel alienated.
