Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
We have a second chance in second grade to continue to build on our literacy skills which now includes intensive writing.
Many of these students with special learning needs continue to struggle academically, yet they come to school everyday anxious to expand their reading and writing knowledge.
One of my greatest concerns (and students' needs), is that they continue to require intensive language intervention to reach grade level, especially since next year they will be in a testing grade.
My Project
Your donation with give my students the opportunity to experience language through different mediums thus increasing their academic success. Your generosity will afford my students a learning way that would otherwise be blocked because of lack of appropriate and differentiated educational materials.
Literacy and writing go hand and hand and require many tools to ascertain that the students are successful.
As a teacher I can already envision how to implement these tools throughout learning centers to encourage my students' growth. We thank you in advance for supplying our much needed tools.
