Help me give my students toiletry kits, deodorant and feminine pads so we can give them an assist when learning about their changing bodies. Also lip balm for those sad chapped lips.
We teach fourth grade and most students are beginning to enter puberty along with the aromas and amorous delights these bring to the classroom. We would like to have a collection of basic supplies we can give to the students as they enter this tumultuous, delightful and occasionally embarrassing period of life. My students love learning, art, working in teams and groups and exploring the world. Many are from lower income families, so they may not have the resources to provide these needs, or learn about them.
My Project
I would like to have a toiletry kit for every student in my classroom, in addition to deodorant, pads for girls, and chapstick for their chappy lips.
Our 4th graders are on the cusp and some are beginning to have changing bodies, and we would like to provide the essentials so they are prepared for changes to come, and also to control some of the aromatics of their changing bodies in the classroom.
Many students in our school are low income and may not have the social or monetary resources to be ready for the changes they will see through puberty.
