My Project

The students who come to my music class get to learn all types of instruments. Their favorites are the drum set, keyboard, electric and bass guitar. With all of these electric instruments, one can only imagine the amount of cords and plugs needed to play them. This is my second year at this campus, and we have made it work with what I've been able to find. It is a stressful task to constantly remind little ones to pay attention when they're walking so they don't hurt themselves.

I want to give my students long surge protectors and cable covers to prevent tripping, injuries, and falling into instruments.

The last thing anyone wants is for a student to hurt themselves or someone else because they tripped over a cord on the floor. These materials will help keep our music classroom safe for all who enter, especially my special needs students. I want them to be able to explore their music classroom without additional worrying about their safety if it can be prevented by such a simple solution.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
