Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

I'm the trainer of all athletes on campus, also coaching football. My students are focused on academic results, and also on sports competitions, which explains their willingness to go the extra mile.

Every athlete at school needs a personalized program to reach their athletic goals.

They come see me year-round, whether during school or after school or during sports summer programs.

I also help teams in the weight room, providing advise on how to safely train without hurting their bodies. They need these reminders because otherwise, they would not always think about preserving their greatest asset: their bodies.

My Project

I am new at the school and am one of the two football coaches. I found old helmets that are very unappealing on top of being borderline dangerous.

It is our first responsibility to keep the players safe and most families cannot spare $400 to get a helmet that is proven to absorb more impact across a wider variety of temperatures.

I intend to outfit my players with new lightweight helmets, one at a time, with the help of the wonderful donorschoose supporters.

With these helmets, my team will be able to focus on acquiring skills that every football player needs to acquire, safely.
