My Project

I have an office tucked away in the back of the library. I often have students come in because the library is too crowded or they just want to be away from other students during their breaks to either get some work done or to just be by themselves away from the noise. By providing comfortable chairs and tables, they can use their laptops to get caught up on some work or they can just sit and decompress so that they can continue their day with less stress. I often get visited by students who are going through problems and they want to talk to someone who isn't their teacher or their counselor. Sometimes they just want someone to listen to them and sometimes they just need to rest. Other times they are looking for a snack because they are hungry and they need energy to get through the day. It doesn't take long for them to get grounded and settled before they are ready to head back out and finish the school day.
