Having a space where students can come and feel safe is very important. There are a lot of areas in our school that is unsafe for students to go and hang out in like stairwells and behind buildings. If we can create an area to have students come in on their free time to just pull up a chair and either read, study or work on their school work, this would alleviate students wandering around campus and doing things that they shouldn't be doing. We can create a warm and welcoming space in the library for the students to go and feel safe. We want to give them the opportunity to have a space where they can work on a resume, or a college application. They can also get help in filling out their FAFSA or talk to a college representative or a potential employer. We can do so much if we have a space for them to come to and feel safe in.
