This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

TIMBER! As my energetic 4th graders were sitting on the rug this morning, the wobbly music stand we have to use to display our chart paper came toppling down. Not only were our notes about figurative language all over the place, but the class' focus was, too. Our elementary school is located in a pretty rough area, and the students don't ask for much. However, I know they don't deserve to have a rusty old music stand doubling as a place where we hang our chart paper!

Our class is in need of a sturdy place to hang our chart paper. Ideas are constantly bouncing around the classroom, and if we only had a stable place to write them down, we'd really be on a roll!

My fourth graders would greatly benefit from having a chart paper stand and some chart paper to capture all of their ideas and creativity. Not only will this stand serve my 21 active learners this year, but it will continue to be serving young scholars for years to come!
