We've filled in gaps of missing series and added new installments. \r\n\r\nYou also helped us add acryclic browsing bins, the perfect durable storage for all those series books. The bins have also been a game changer for creating interactive displays! From \"Would You Rather\" to Indigenous authors, these bins invite students to flip through and browse a greater variety of literature. I can even quickly switch out whole categories of books on display to better match each class visiting the library. We are a couple months into library visits and your support has made a huge difference in welcoming our youngest readers. The early reader books on high interest topics like cute animals and sports gave our non-fiction bins \"curb appeal\" and all have been checked out many time. As I walk around the school kids come up to me and say \"I love my book!\"\r\n\r\nThe Lil Libros board book series was an exciting addition to our Latine Literature theme in kindergarten. Students were excited to find their home countries included - Guatemala and El Salvador are the most common in our population but are very underrepresented in kids books. Our Dual Language Spanish classes also enjoyed the biography of Pura Belpre, a groundbreaking bilingual librarian. \r\n\r\nMy highlight came with one of the interactive board books! A new student in our early special day class was very scared of new places and cried during the first library visit. However, yesterday she was immediately entranced by our read-aloud \"Peekaboo Pumpkin\" and then spent 10 minutes manipulating the moving parts to great delight.\r\n\r\nThanks again for getting us off to a great start this year. With access to their own reusable water bottles, students stay hydrated and focused throughout the day. They no longer need to leave class to get a drink of water, which means more learning time and smoother lesson transitions.\r\n\r\nHaving pencils, mechanical pencils, and lead refills readily available has eliminated a major barrier to learning. Students no longer have to worry about not having the basic tools they need to write, draw, or take notes. They can start each lesson prepared and ready to participate. It's a small change that's had a big impact on their independence and sense of ownership over their learning.\r\n\r\nThe pencil pouches have helped students stay organized and take responsibility for their materials. It's been wonderful to see them take pride in keeping their supplies neat and accessible—skills that support focus and time management beyond the classroom.\r\n\r\nFinally, the Clorox wipes have helped maintain a clean, healthy learning space. Students take turns helping keep the classroom tidy, fostering a sense of community and care for our shared environment. This has also contributed to fewer distractions and absences, as a cleaner space supports overall wellness.\r\n\r\nAltogether, these items have strengthened our classroom culture of readiness, respect, and resilience. Having her own materials gave her the encouragement she needed to participate, and her classmates celebrated her effort. Moments like these show how these simple resources create lasting impact.\r\n\r\nNext, we'll be expanding our social-emotional lessons by using journals not only for math but also for reflection and goal setting.
