My students are enthusiastic and love to learn but, our district's budget has been slashed. Our school is a Title One with 100% of students receiving free lunch. This means our under served students are now even at greater risk of not receiving what they need to succeed. Every child deserves to have a classroom rich in hands-on activities and experiences as well as a comfortable place to sit. Currently, I have 25 students with seating for 22. I have placed two double student desks side by side, but the students cannot put their legs comfortable underneath. The 48" round table will be a perfect solution to this problem! Kindergarten students are learning how to write! They must begin by learning how to hold a pencil, form letters of the alphabet, understanding that letters form words, and then writing those words to form sentences. The Writing Claws will assist students with their pencil grip and both the Learn the Alphabet Dough Mats and Write the Letter Activity Center will be highly beneficial to their learning these skills.
