Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
During this time of Remote Learning, my second grade students are being asked to engage in online lessons which is an entirely new phenomenon! For this project, I am asking to receive instructional supports that will simplify this learning transition for each of my students.
My Project
This easel will help me organize my materials and lessons while teaching remotely. As a second grade teacher during this unprecedented time, I am simultaneously aiming to keep my students engaged in a new way of learning, while maintaining classroom routines that provide a sense of security.
I will use this easel as I would have in the classroom, during shared lessons in reading, writing and math.
The easel will be a familiar learning tool for students as we work together to produce sentences, paragraphs or number problems. The reality of working with an easel is one that will allow me to add color, images, or pre-made charts to efficiently differentiate virtual lessons for students.
