Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I want to encourage my students to develop independent reading habits. Nothing brings me more joy than seeing my students motivated to read books. My classroom is in need of a cozy and organized reading nook that my students will look forward to using when reading independently. The bookshelves and rug will help our classroom library look appealing and fun.

Our classroom library will nurture a love of reading in students and will help them build the necessary skills for literacy acquisition.

The goal for this project is not only to inspire students to read but also to make it easy for students to access reading materials. The bookshelves will help keep our classroom library organized. This will help students find the books they need with ease. Students will have a designated area for independent reading and partner reading. They will have opportunities to develop literacy skills and strategies while enjoying the nice reading area.
