Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

CMS is a largely Hispanic population of students, and a beautiful array of backgrounds. A majority of the students are on free and reduced meals. These students work hard to overcome challenges and should be rewarded for their diligence. They love every opportunity to perform inside and outside the school. Getting to work with them is a joy and as I learn about their lives outside school, I want to enrich their lives as much as I can be exposing them to resources that enable them to do more.

My Project

The current projector in our classroom will overheat quickly and shut down as we are working through material in class. It's been a challenge for us when we are working through music theory or viewing lesson material and the projector decides to turn off. It would be wonderful to turn it on near the front of the class so it's not in the student's way either. A projector is an efficient way to avoid copying and free the students from having to hold materials in their laps. Reliable is the key for us.
