Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My classroom is filled with ambitious kindergarteners excited to come to school each day. Every morning they come in happy and eager to talk with their peers and see what the day brings. I would like to keep the sense of excitement and community going throughout the day by providing different tables and seating options in my classroom.

Alternative seating has shown to increase student learning by fulfilling their sensory needs, allowing more collaboration, and shifting their mindshift about learning.

The classroom environment has a direct impact on how students learn and alternative seating is a way to allow students to comfortably be engaged in their learning as well as provide a more conducive classroom for early childhood learners.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
