This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
My students are creative, thoughtful and full of questions! They absolutely love hands-on, active, engaging projects and challenges that allow them to think outside the box to find solutions!
My students follow our motto:
"Dream it. Believe it. Achieve it."
Despite coming from a huge range of situations and obstacles, they rise up and conquer their hardships to reach their goals. We are an urban, Title I school with a STEM focus. As one of the top STEM schools in our district, we focus on these topics to help our nation's youth gain the skills required to succeed in today's challenging world. This includes a curriculum that is driven by problem-solving, discovery, exploratory learning and requires students to actively engage in a situation in order to find its solution.
My students face many challenges when they are away from school, and for many of them, coming to school is the highlight of their days. Despite these challenges, they come to school each day ready to try new things and take brave chances in order to grow both personally and academically. Truly, they are my inspiration and I am so lucky and thankful to work with them each day!
My Project
With this project, my students will get a new printer and ink to use in the classroom. The printer and ink will allow us to print copies and pictures in color directly from our class computers. Students will delight in seeing their stories and research projects published and printed out for viewing.
Children thrive in a world full of technology and color.
That is why we are in great need of a color printer and ink. Along with the various classroom projects that this printer will support, I will also be able to use this color printer for certificates and awards that motivate and affirm student success. Please help our classroom with this much-needed printer!
