Last year I experienced a student with physical limitations who was not successful on the pottery wheel. I researched what I could do, and I only found one solution. A teacher had their students control the speed with the pedal, and they shaped the clay on the wheel for them. I currently have pottery wheels with attached peddles, so it would be challenging to try this method.
I want to have all of my students experience the pottery wheel without limitations.
My class is about learning all methods of creating ceramics, and I do not want any students to miss out.
