Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My 3rd grade students are part of a wonderful Dual Language Program in which they learn to read, write and speak in two languages, Spanish and English. They are in the pathway to becoming bicultural and biliterate.

I want to provide my students with alternative seating choice to help them learn and focus.

I want to provide a learning environment in which all students can learn. A space in which students can stand, seat, or move as they learn, developed critical thinking and problem solving skills, work collaborative, and build communication skills.

My Project

My students need a classroom carpet in which they can gather for direct instruction, to ask questions, and engage in collaborative conversations. Students will have the opportunity to focus and be closer to the teacher during whole group instruction, they will be able to listen and add information to each other's ideas.

My class needs a place to gather often to support building a safe class environment, where they can help each other, work collaboratively, or just to have a place where to enjoy a good book during independent reading.

This rug is exactly what we need.
