A Place for Everything... And Everything in Its Place!

My Students

My students are eager to learn and do their best, but sometimes they come to school hungry and without a good nights rest. As a teacher in a low-income/high poverty school district, my students are faced with several challenges both in and out of the classroom each day.

Despite so many hardships, they want to be in school because they want to learn, so they can be successful.

Help these kiddos be successful by providing a way for them to differentiate text and objects in their learning and to share their work!

My Project

In kindergarten there are many opportunities for learning and using different materials. This creates huge storage and space issues. Currently, all of the items these kids need are stored up high or behind something else they can't get to. This leaves me to do everything.

The Classic Birch Storage Cubby and the Alphabet Sounds Teaching Tubs Storage Rack will provide storage at just the right height for 5 year olds, they will be able to gather and clean up materials more independently!

Plus, they will have the added bonus of being able to choose or swap out materials if they find they are not right for the task. Additionally, the Anyplace, Anytime Mobile Listening Center and the magnetic Wipe & Write Big Book Center, will allow them to make academic choices about their learning on their own.

Creating opportunities for kiddos to choose materials and participate in cleaning up will help to build motivated and independent learners for life!
