A Place for Everything and Everything In It's Place.

My students need 6 sets of durable book boxes to replace their current cardboard boxes, many of which are being help together by tape.

My Students

Learning is supposed to be engaging, hands-on, loud, and messy; but most of all it is supposed to be fun.

My third graders are starting to learn the importance of taking ownership in their own education.

Most of their school career they have been in a Title 1 school, but this year the school lost their Title status. This will be a big change for my students as they will not have resources they have had in the past. My students come from varied backgrounds and family lives.

My Project

Currently my class has book boxes made from cardboard and these are no longer big enough or strong enough to hold the books my students are reading. These current boxes are falling apart and being help together with tape and staples; students have a hard time learning when their supplies keep falling out of their boxes.

Durable book boxes that can be used year after year will help keep my students' literacy supplies organized and will give students a secure place to hold the books they are reading in class.

These new book boxes are made from plastic and will be used for multiple children over multiple years of school.
