Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

In first grade, every book can open the door to a new adventure! My goal is to create a classroom library that is organized, inviting, and easy for my young readers to use independently.

Our classroom library is filled with books for students to explore, but we need sturdy book bins to help give each book a home.

These bins will allow me to organize our books into categories that are easy for first graders to recognize and navigate. Instead of searching through piles of books, students will be able to find books that interest them, choose a book independently, and know exactly where to return it when they are finished.

An organized classroom library is about more than keeping our books tidy. It helps students take ownership of their classroom, develop independence, and spend more time doing what matters most, reading!

With your support, we can create a classroom library where books are accessible, organized, and ready to inspire a love of reading in every little reader who walks through our door.
