A Picture Perfect Way to Communicate!

My students need a laser color printer to have access to colorful visuals to help with communication.

My Students

I work with special education students with speech and language deficits as well as other areas of need. Each year more and more students are being identified as severely language impaired, developmentally delayed and/or autistic.

Using visuals prior to having language or in conjunction with language allows my students to engage with peers and adults in the classroom.

These students greatly benefit from visual aids to help with communication. My students are vibrant and have so much to share with others. Our school is a Title I school so many of our students come from low income families.

My Project

Students who receive special education services need to be able to communicate their wants and needs. An HP Laserjet Pro M252dw Wireless Color Printer will allow our team to create communication books as well as provide classroom teachers with visual schedules and visual aids to engage all students in the classroom. We will also be able to use these resources to create visuals for parents to use at home with their children as well.

A laser color printer would allow the special education team to create visual aids for our students when words are difficult to come by.

We would love to have the printer, along with replacement black and color ink. Your help in providing this for our students would be greatly appreciated!
