Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

These supplies will be used for multiple scratch art projects for my kindergarten through third-grade students. Scratch art is an easy and fun way to introduce students to etching and printmaking techniques. Students are always amazed by the results of the work as they uncover rainbows underneath the black surface of the scratch paper.

In my program students learn the fundamentals of printmaking-etching and monoprints are covered at the elementary level.

Printmaking and using the premium materials really enhance students' experiences in elementary art classes. My students all have the option of continuing onto secondary arts courses, even secondary arts magnet schools. Having my students experiment with a wide variety of materials sets my students up for future success in the arts. Please consider giving our classroom these materials to help us.
