My Project

A brand new school year is filled with excitement, nervous smiles, and endless possibilities. For many of my kindergarten students, this will be their very first experience in a classroom. Everything is new—from learning how to line up to making their very first school friends.

One place they'll visit countless times each day is our classroom rug.

It is where we begin each morning, read our favorite stories, explore letters and numbers, celebrate milestones, and learn what it means to be part of a classroom family.

As we prepare to welcome a new group of eager learners, our classroom rug has reached the end of its life after years of love and daily use. We are hoping to replace it with a new, durable rug that will provide a clean, comfortable, and inviting space where every child has a place to belong.

A classroom rug is so much more than a place to sit. It becomes the heart of our classroom—a place where confidence grows, curiosity is encouraged, and friendships begin. It helps create routines, keeps students engaged during lessons, and gives young learners a safe space to gather as they discover the joy of learning.

Your generosity will help us start the school year with a welcoming environment that inspires excitement from day one. Every time my students gather together, they'll be reminded that there are people who believe in them and care about their success.
