This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students have been exposed to different reading materials since kindergarten years. They have had the opportunity to build on their own language and to put themselves into other people's situations.

Reading can boost self-esteem and communication skills.

These young 8 to 10 year-old children amaze us with the enhanced vocabulary they are able to achieve through reading. My students are now mature enough to start expressing their own ideas in writing.

Every morning comes up with enthusiastic children who are eager to try new and interesting content.

My Project

E-books become learning tools for my students. The chrome book I am requesting would upgrade my reading center in order to provide leveled stories to read, comprehend, and write about. The electronic device could fulfill the research needs, the reading materials, and the tools to develop writing pieces.

Technology additions in my classroom would definitely make a difference in my students’ academic progress.

Children who are exposed to a wide variety of learning resources are more likely to succeed because our goal as educators is to provide our boys and girls the opportunities for all learning skills they might have.
