The big Post-it easel pads are also super helpful for group modeling during writing and sequencing activities, so everyone can see how ideas flow from start to finish. They couldn't wait to check out the colorful sound chips, practice on the dry-erase mats, and help put up the new charts around the room. We incorporated the materials into a structured movement lesson where students rotated through skill stations focused on coordination, balance, and teamwork. Students who are often quiet during traditional lessons were suddenly leaders, cheering on their classmates and celebrating each other's progress.\r\n\r\nWe now use the equipment during movement breaks, cooperative challenges, and small-group activities that connect physical activity with academic learning. For example, students practice math facts by throwing the ball at each other meanwhile counting, they practice addition and subtraction by tossing and aiming at targets with the answers, they also practice vocabulary or spelling while jumping the rope, combining focus with physical engagement. Students use the calming tools as a reward and to regulate emotions, and manage refocus during the day. I have seen noticeable growth in self-confidence. Instead of feeling overwhelmed, students are learning healthy strategies to reset and return to learning ready to succeed.\r\n\r\nNext, we are expanding into a \"Wellness in Action\" focus, where students will set personal and teamwork goals, reflect on how movement supports brain health, and track their growth over time.
