My Project

I am a multilingual teacher. This means that my students are not only learning the 7th and 8th grade science standards, but they are also learning the English language. Many are new to the country.

We are adding Science to our ML building program next year.

This means that all of our newest language learners will be in my science classroom. I am hoping to create an environment where everyone is able to learn using hands-on materials. To do this, I am hoping to get a microscope and slides to keep in my room for weekly, if not daily use, our own set of scales, beakers and cylinders for experiments. I believe these materials will get our science classroom off to a great start and help my students reach their highest potential.

The book set I have is entirely in Spanish. This means that my students who arrive to our school directly from schools in Mexico, Cuba, Panama, Chili, etc. will immediately have books written in Spanish.
