About 60% of our students are living in poverty with some students who are homeless.
We have children of working families, and children of professionals and academics. About 35% of our students are learning English. Additionally, we have students who have significant, profound special needs including visually impaired students. This amazing, diverse group of students joins together for learning each day. It is a joy to see such an amazing group of kiddos grow and learn together.
My Project
With the reality of social distancing, we can expect children to be spending time in their seats (more than typical) or on the floor near their desks.
Little ones need to get their wiggles out!
I will attempt to make learning as active as possible and give the children frequent breaks. However, these cushions can be used either in a chair or on the floor to provide comfort and sneak in a little movement while sitting.
Who wants to sit in a hard plastic chair all day? Not me, and not second graders either! Please help me provide a cushion for each child in my class. We would be so grateful.
