Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Instead of creating multiple DonorsChoose projects, I have decided to create one with all the materials needed for a multitude of projects throughout the year.
The materials will help all of my classes, including Biology, Environmental Studies, and AP Environmental Science.
My AP students will have materials for two labs with the owl pellets, the sand, gravel, and soil! Their two favorite projects are the building and maintaining of the ecocolumns, and the owl pellet lab! All other materials will be used in the classroom for many reasons and are necessities for all classes! The cardstock will be used at the beginning of the year for students to create name cards to get to know one another. The markers and erasers are for their own mini whiteboards for them to draw on and show understanding of concepts. It is a more engaging way to learn!
My students are all low income students who deserve the best education! Because of donors like you, I am able to give them an engaging, relevant, and fun year with materials I could not afford otherwise!
