Help me give my students to excel in Science with the purchase of microscopes to enhance assignments as we explore cell structures, water molecules, and DNA.
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Project
The first and foremost is to give all students opportunities to complete hands-on activities using microscopes showing them that science is not limited to the pages of textbooks. My students will be able to learn about the different parts of a plant, how tiny living things move, and what different stages of metamorphosis look like. The best way to design student microscope experiments is to offer a range of ordinary, everyday items that kids can view under a microscope. “It's so fun for students to have hands-on experience, especially in science,” Siegel said. “That students got the chance to physically use a microscope. Seeing the cells themselves is so much more meaningful than just viewing the same pictures online. It's also a great way for students to become interested in a topic they may know nothing about.”
