Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students are full of energy and wonder. They love to explore and learn new things. Even though many of my students are from low-income families, they still have a sense of wonder about learning. It is very important to me to make sure that my students feel safe, valued, and excited.

Having a rug and classroom games will offer my students a space in our classroom to meet and build social skills.

I would like to provide a new and comfortable place for my students to come together. A classroom rug will ensure students have a place to go sit down ,read a book of their choosing, and at times play board games that build social skills and a sense of community. A classroom rug is a very integral part of our learning community, as it allows for friendships and learning to occur.
