My Project

My students are energetic, creative, and eager to learn through play. They thrive when given opportunities to use their imaginations while practicing real-world skills. In our housekeeping/dramatic play center, they love pretending to cook, shop, and role-play as adults. Adding a market stand will give them new ways to explore, create, and collaborate.

I am requesting a child-sized market stand with play food, baskets, and a pretend cash register for our housekeeping area.

This addition will let students role-play shopping, selling, and organizing, which supports early math (counting money, sorting, adding), literacy (making lists, reading labels), and social skills (taking turns, communicating, problem-solving).

A market stand also helps children make real-life connections to the community around them. They can pretend to run a store, be a customer, or even manage a farmers’ market. This kind of dramatic play encourages teamwork, creativity, and critical thinking in a way that feels like fun.

This market stand will transform our housekeeping area into a hands-on learning experience where every child can be a shopper, cashier, or vendor. Donors will help provide an engaging play space that sparks imagination while building foundational academic and life skills.
